Before installation, preparatory work cannot be overlooked. It is necessary to carefully verify the specifications and models of the crossarms according to design requirements, ensuring that their materials and dimensions align with the engineering needs, and avoiding the inability to use them normally after installation due to incorrect models. At the same time, a comprehensive inspection of the crossarms for defects such as deformation and cracks should be conducted. If any issues are found, they should be replaced promptly to prevent potential safety hazards during subsequent use. Additionally, various tools required for installation, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, lifting equipment, etc., should be prepared, and it should be ensured that the tools are intact and their accuracy meets the requirements.

During the installation process, accurate positioning is essential. Based on the circuit design drawings, determine the installation location of the crossarm, ensuring that its levelness and perpendicularity errors are within acceptable limits. Excessive deviation in levelness can cause uneven stress on the cables, affecting their service life; deviation in perpendicularity may lead to the tilting of the crossarm, increasing the risk of detachment. Use appropriate fasteners to securely install the crossarm on the tower, tighten the bolts, and ensure that nuts are fully equipped to prevent loosening. When installing dual crossarms, ensure that both crossarms are parallel and have consistent spacing to ensure the normal erection and operation of the cables.

After installation, a detailed inspection is required. Check whether the installation position of the cross arm is correct, whether it is firmly fixed, and whether there are signs of looseness. At the same time, inspect the connection between the cross arm and the tower to ensure good contact, no gaps, or displacement. Count and organize the tools used during the installation process, and clean up the site in a timely manner, ensuring that the work is completed, the materials are used up, and the site is clean.
