The main classification of electrical power fittings can be divided from multiple perspectives. Here are some common classification methods:

Power fitting

Classified by function and structure:

Suspension clamp: used for hanging conductor insulator strings (mostly used on tangent towers) and hanging jumpers on insulator strings.

Strain clamp: also known as fastening hardware or tension clamp, used to fasten the terminal of the conductor, securing it to the tension insulator string, and also used for the fixation of lightning conductor terminals and the anchoring of stay wires.

Connecting hardware: used for connecting insulators into strings and for connecting hardware to hardware.

Splicing fittings: specifically designed for splicing various bare conductors and lightning conductors.
Protective fittings: such as grading rings used to protect insulators, heavy weights used to prevent the uplift of insulator strings, and vibration dampers and armor rods used to prevent conductor vibration.
Contact fittings: used for connecting hard busbars, flexible busbars, and outlet terminals of electrical equipment, as well as for T-joints of conductors and non-load-bearing parallel connections.

Fixed fittings: also known as power plant fittings or high-current busbar fittings, used for the fixation and connection of various rigid or flexible busbars with post insulators in power distribution equipment.

Classified by purpose:
Line fittings: used for overhead transmission lines.
Power transformation fittings: used for various equipment within the substation.
Divided by electric power fitting product units:
Malleable cast iron.
Forging and pressing category.

Aluminum-copper-aluminum type.

Cast iron category.

Classified by national standard and non-national standard:
National standard electrical fittings: comply with national standards.
Non-GB electrical fittings: Those that do not comply with national standards but are widely used.
In addition, there are other classification methods, such as classification by material, which can be divided into iron, copper, aluminum, etc. There is a wide variety of electrical power fittings, and each type of fitting has its specific purpose and performance requirements to ensure the normal operation, safety, and stability of the electrical power system.
